For this project, our professional architectural and design services were retained to design a two-storey building that would reflect the village heart of Chelsea. Following discussions with the client and an assessment of the urban fabric, we proposed a design inspired by the vibrant colors and topology of other buildings in the area. However, we sought to make the building residential in style by incorporating small windows and including a covered wood porch.
Blue in color and occupying the majority of the narrow lot, the new building maximizes the available space and takes advantage of the surrounding area to provide additional parking for the clients of its two occupying companies. On the one hand, the Parodontistes Chelsea clinic includes a reception area, a laboratory and consultation rooms on the first floor, while we find offices, change room, a kitchen as well as a training area on the second floor. Inspired by a contemporary farmhouse style, the 305 m2 clinical space features the use of natural materials, particularly wood, and contrasting finishes.
In the basement, there is a space dedicated to the Powerwatts spinning studio, which allows the client to make the most of the entire building and to offer a new training place to the cyclists of the region.
