For this project, our team was selected for the extension of the existing building spanning approximately 364 m². The proposed layout includes two classrooms with a multipurpose collaborative space in between. Each classroom incorporates movable furniture, built-in storage, a bathroom, and a reading corner decorated with a nature-themed design.
The collaborative space can be contemplated through windows that open onto both classrooms. This facilitates visual communication between the spaces and enables immersion between classes. This collaborative space is used for gatherings, informal activities, special workshops, creative moments, and pauses. Whiteboards, movable furniture, and benches create a cozy and welcoming atmosphere where soft colors blend harmoniously with wood. The acoustics are enhanced by cloud-shaped ceiling suspensions. Suitable for preschoolers, these spaces are connected by a common corridor where lockers and cloakrooms for young students are located.
In the new wing of the school, an emergency staircase was added. Featuring a bright yellow color, it makes a strong architectural statement, bringing life to an element that is usually neutral. In order for this prefabricated staircase to be installed in the school before the building was closed, fine coordination was carried out by our team to ensure that everything was skillfully synchronized with the contractor and other consultants.
For this project, we were involved in all phases as the designated professional, working in joint venture with BGLA.
